Since 1993 Raindance has been the definitive organization championing and nurturing independent filmmaking. Afer 18 years, the Raindance Film Festival in London is today Europe’s largest independent film festival, and Raindance’s training courses have inspired a new breed of filmmakers. Today the Raindance community has grown to include many thousands of aspiring and seasoned filmmakers.

Raindance offers evening and weekend training courses in writing, directing and producing. They are designed to take independent filmmakers from first principles to post-production and beyond – taught hands-on and honestly. The courses offer a comprehensive overview of the most up to date and inspirational techniques and methods at use in the industry today, taught by working industry professionals at the forefront of the business.

Raindance amumni include, among others, Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes), Christopher Nolan (Batman), Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead) and Charles Steel (The Last King of Scotland).

Raindance runs courses in London, New York and Toronto. New bases are currently being set up in Brussels, Berlin, and Budapest, extending the reach and scope of the Raindance community.

Elliot Grove, founder of Raindance, will be in Budapest from November 25-28, to present to the Raindance Budapest filmmaking community his lo-budget filmmaking techniques.
