NISI MASA and FEST (Portuguese member of the network) are glad to announce the call for applications for Borderline, an itinerant film production project for 2012, which will take place in November on the route, beginning in Paris and finishing in Guimarães, 2012 European Capital of Culture.

Borderline aims to investigate the immigration issue in Europe through film. 12 young filmmakers will make 4 short films while traveling inside of a purpose constructed Double Decker Bus, which will also be a moving office studio and accomodation.

The project will take place between 10th of November – 3rd of December.

Deadline for applications is 10th of July, 2012

– The candidates should be between the ages 18-32.

– Selected participants will arrive in the starting city on the 10th of November; departure from Guimarães is on the 3rd of December.

– Participants will have 20% of their travel costs covered up to a limit of 75 Euros financing. They should provide the organizers a scanned/digital version of their tickets or boarding passes.
