The 14th Toronto International Film Festival announced yesterday their first Short Cuts International line-up. Throughout the festival, 36 short films and their directors are going to represent 29 countries and cultures. The first Short Cuts International award is going to come with the prize of $10,000.

The TIFF director of special project, Shane Smith said: “Some of the best filmmaking in the industry is happening in the short form and the introduction of this programme allows the festival to identify talented filmmakers and connect them to the rest of the world as well as the highly engaged audience present here in Toronto”.

The festival takes place from the 4th until the 14th of September. For more information and the complete line-up, check out the official page of Toronto International Film Festival.
