The 61st International Short Film Festival Oberhausen is going to be held between the 30th of April and the 5th of May! They announced the official programme of the festival, which is available on the official website of Oberhausen Film Festival.

There’s a great number of categories, in which the selected films will compete and screened for the audience:

  • International Competition – shortfilms from all around the world, in 10 different selections
  • German Competition – in 4 selections
  • NRW (North Rhine-Westphalia) Competition – in 2 selections
  • Children and Youth Film – from the ages of 3, 6, 8, 10, 14, 16
  • MuVi – a selection of German music videos
  • Theme – The Third Image – 3D Cinema as Experiment
  • Profiles – a selection of shortfilms by Ito Takashi, Erkka Nissinen, William Raban, Jennifer Reeder, Vipin Vijay
  • Archives – the archiving and restoration of experimental films from the Academy Film Archive, Austrian Film Museum, BFI National Archive, National Film Center of Tokyo
