The great city of Białystok is giving home again for International Short Film Festival ŻUBROFFKA this year, celebrating the 10th edition of the festival, from 2nd – 6th of December, in Poland. The submission is open for international short films, which will be rewarded by the jury and the audience as well.
Besides the competing short films, the festival is offering special screenings, workshops, exhibitions and other cultural events throughout these few days, celebrating a true multicultural scene in the home of the famous Bison. Daazo attended the festival last year, and wrote about the winners and some of the festival favourites too. By the end of the 5 days, they will be giving out not just a Grand Prix and different awards for each of the competitions, but also they are rewarding the best animation, documentary, fiction, cinematography and music. The audience will be in charge of the Wild Bison Audience Award too.
They are selecting the received short film in three main competitions:
EASTWARD WINDOW– competition for the best independent film from former socialist bloc countries
WHOLE WIDE WORLD – competition addressed to artists from around the world – with the exception of participants in national competitions and EASTWARD WINDOW
AMATEURS – a competition aimed at amateur artists who create original films, even though they have not completed any film or art school
STUDENTS – competition for the best student work made in film and art schools
INDEPENDENT – a competition aimed at independent filmmakers, film and art school graduates with their original artistic visions
Competitions addressed to Polish and foreign artists:

MUSIC VIDEO – a competition for the best film to a piece of music
