We received the great news that the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen is now calling for applications to the Oberhausen Seminar. The London-based researcher and writer Michele Pierson will lead the workshop along with Canadian curator, critic and researcher Mike Zryd. The Oberhausen Seminar will take place during the 63rd Festival (11-16 May 2017).

Applications are now open, the deadline for applications is 1 February, 2017.

The Seminar addresses primarily young and upcoming international artists, filmmakers, curators, and researchers who work with moving images and in particular with artists’ film and video. It is an experimental course which uses the Oberhausen Festival as a laboratory to discuss ideas in the curation, production and criticism of contemporary moving image media. All Seminar activities will take place in English; only 25 applications will be selected. Go for it!

Seminar fee: Euro 250
