Food, drinks, film, Music – Gastro-Visual Weekend

Friday, July 31st, 2009

All that your eyes and mouth desire (or something along these lines)

The Budapest Odeon-Lloyd Cinema, with the co-operation of Nisi Masa, Védegylet (Protect the Future!) Tudatos Vásárlók Egyesülete (Conscientious Consumers Association) and Daazo have organized a two-day-long gastro-visual series called Food, Drinks, Film, Music, between 31 July and 1 August.

We’ll await you with film screenings, talks, a spritzer-bar, wine- and food tastings. Events will give you an insight into the Hungarian and international wine scene and provide you with loads of interesting facts about the history and culture of Hungarian cult drinks.

Food-lovers can meet the Freegan and the Slow Food movements, as well as the most popular gastro-bloggers. You can also participate in talks on the different areas of the countryside and our hardly-known fruit and vegetable varieties.

Screenings will offer you more gastronomical delicacies, such as rarely screened short- and feature films on the wonderful, often shocking and new world of food and wine. The films of Matter of Taste project (organized by Nisi Masa and Daazo) will be screened as well.

And to make this weekend a really light but still substantial summer event, we await you with continuous food and drink promotions at the buffet of the cinema and with the pleasant tunes of Dj InstabiL.
