Call for Applications! Send your film to the Paris Courts Devant International Short Film Festival!

The 7th edition of the french festival Paris Courts Devant will take place at the Cinéma des Cinéastes from 13th to 16th October 2011.

The call for entries is now open! You can submit your films on-line: www.courtsdevant.com/inscriptions/

Then send your DVD before the deadlines:
- April 30th 2011 for films of 2010
- June 30th 2011 for films of 2011

Participation conditions:
- Films must have been produced in 2010 or 2011.
- Maximum length: 20 minutes

Preview format:
- DVD only

Screening formats:
- DCP (Digital Cinema Package) DCI norm, without encoding
- Files on DVD, USB key or hard drive
Quicktime .mov (HD 1920×1080; HD 1280×720; PAL 16/9: 1024×576; PAL 720×576) uncompressed not interlaced (progressive mode if possible)
- HD cam
- 35 mm
- Digi Beta

Coming soon: International short film festival

For the 16th time now, the International Short Film Festival Leuven (ISFFL) offers a stage for short films and a platform for new film talent. The festival will take place from December 4th – 11th in Leuven, Belgium.The programme of the ISFFL is an illustration of the abundant variety amongst the audiovisual arts: about 250 films,  live-action short, animated shorts, music videos and documentaries adorn the festival’s programme. These mass of films is neathly ordered into 10 categories, each divided into a several short film compilations. Central to the programme are the Flemish and European Competition, two categories of brand new films, from which the Jury and the audience cho! ose their favourites. Furthermore, the festival presents a few special programmes. This year it focuses on the Dutch short film industry, presents the best Comedy Shorts, international animated shorts (Animation Nations), Short Films for Kids and non-narrative film and video (The Labo).

VISITING LEUVEN

The Short Film Festival takes place in Leuven, Belgium. Thinking about visiting the festival? Here’s some information about the lovely town: Leuven is a relatively small city (100.000 inhabitants), 20 kilometers near Brussels. Leuven is widely known for two things: it harbours one of the largest and oldest universities in Europe. The K.U.Leuven was founded in 1425 and has more than 25.000 students today. Leuven is also the hometown of INBEV, the largest brewery in the world, famous for it’s beer Stella Artois (since 1366), one of the best known beers.

5th International Short Film Festival 2010
“Intercultural Dialogue and Immigration”

DEADLINE FOR SHORT FILM SUBMISSIONS: 9th October,2010

The festival is a short film competition that aims to create a global awareness to the emigration problems and all cinemamakers and cinema fans to transfer their “Intercultural Dialogue and Immigration” themed films to big screen. Festival will include seminars, panels, film screenings and workshops. In the competition section fiction, animation, documentary, and experimental short films with the “Intercultural Dialogue and Immigration” theme will compete and the directors will be supported with various awards.

This festival is a project of the non-profit organization connected to Junior Chamber International, “Worldwide Federation of Young Leaders and Entrepreneurs” Istanbul branch which is accepted as a constituent organization by other federations including Council of Europe and Euro Chambers as well as United Nation. JCI, being established in 1910, is the world’s 3rd biggest non-governmental organization with more than 200,000 members in 124 countries.

JCI ‹stanbul Crossroads International Short Film Competition and Festival is accepted to be supporting and making a contribution to the presentation of Turkey by Ministry of Culture and has been selected “World’s Most Successful Public Relations Program” and “Europe’s Most Successful Publication” in JCI 2007 World Congress.
