ScripTeast workshops are starting on the 26th of September with a weeklong session in Poland which consists of one-on-one meetings with acclaimed filmmakers from all over the world. In previous editions we have been privileged to work with Andrew Birkin, Bill Forsyth, Cedomir Kolar, Lynda Myles, George Sluizer and Peter Webber to name a few. The Heads of Studies in coming edition will again be Tom Abrams and Christian Routh.
The session in Poland is followed by online consultations and rewriting until the 3-days meeting during Berlin International Film Festival. Then the work is continued online and the participants meet up again during the final, weeklong session at Cannes Film Festival. The program is concluded with presentation of the Krzysztof Kieslowski ScripTeast Award for the Best Central and Eastern European Script (10.000 euros), chosen among the scripts participating in ScripTeast.
ScripTeast is the only training workshop designed specifically for the needs of experienced writers from Central and Eastern Europe and is focused on developing already written scripts and promoting them within producers, distributors and sales agents from all over the world.
There’s no application fee and participation fee is only 300 euros. The costs of accommodation, board, travel, tutorials, festival accreditations etc. are cover by the organizer.
ScripTeast is organized by the Independent Film Foundation and supported by Media Programme, Polish Film Institute, Polish National Culture Centre, Magyar Filmunio and Apple Film Production; with partnership of European Film Academy, Producers Network, Ateliers du Cinéma Européen, e-Talenta, Final Draft and festivals in Berlin, Cannes and Karlovy Vary.
