Rencontres Henri Langlois award best films’ schools

Turning Poitiers into a screen for the best films by young filmmakers throughout the world! Here is the challenge that our Festival is taking up for one more year. International competition, Film lesson, programs of Latin America, special screenings, parties…

The 34th edition of Rencontres Henri Langlois, international film schools Festival, will take place from 2nd  to 11th of December 2011, in Poitiers, France.

Registrations for Competition are still open for a month. Selection Committee began his viewing work. The fifty films he will choose will compete in December. And during the closing night, nine prizes will be given by the juries:

- Jury’s Grand Prize (3000€ + 12 000 € worth of post production resources)
- Jury’s Special Prize (1500€)
- Best Direction’s Prize (1500€)
- Screenplay’s Prize (1000€)
- Public’s Prize (1500€)
- Student Jury’s Prize (1500€)
- Amnesty International France Prize (500€)
- French Critics’ Discovery Prize (exposure during Cannes’ Festival)

Call for Participants: “Visions of Prague – The Invaders” Filmmaking Workshop

NISI MASA in partnership with Fresh Film Fest is organizing a documentary workshop based on the concept of “Visions of a city” from 23rd to the 30th of August 2010 in Prague, Czech Republic.

Aged 18-26, from France, Italy, Spain, Austria and the Czech Republic.

The concept of the workshop is to invite young filmmakers from five different countries to investigate the city of Prague and attend some general presentations.

There will be 4 people in each group. After having selected the content and the story together, the groups will shoot and edit their short movies. They will be supported by 2 professional tutors.

The application deadline for candidates is the 18th of July 2010.
